The Pip Box September Review

The Pip Box is a cruelty-free monthly subscription box costing £20, with 0.50p of each box going towards Animal Free Research UK.

The box promotes ethical beauty brands as each contains over £55 of cruelty-free and vegan beauty products, allowing makeup and skincare lovers to switch to more conscientious cosmetics.

This is my first subscription box and it was the ethical values of the company are what drew me to order it.

September’s box was The Glow Edit- focussing on skincare to help achieve beautiful, flawless, glowing skin.

The box contained:

  • Nakin, Gentle Cleanser

A detoxifying seaweed and natural plant cleanser with hyaluronic acid and pomegranate to hydrate and assist cells, helping skin look it’s absolute best.

This is a light, refreshing cleanser that made my skin soft and visibly reduced my redness immediately after use.

It smells fresh and clean and doesn’t leave my skin dry or tight.

RRP: £19

RATING: 4/5

  • Vitamasques, Diamond Eye Pads

Eye masks designed to brighten and de-puff tired under-eyes with a unique skin-gel formula.

I was a little annoyed to receive a single-use item in an ethical subscription box, but the masks themselves felt nice and soothing under my eyes.

I didn’t notice any visable effects but I still enjoyed using them!

RRP £5.99

RATING: 2/5

  • The Natural Beauty Pot, Mineral Eyeshadow

A highly pigmented, pure mineral eyeshadow suitable for even senstive eyes.

This is a lovely, shimmery, natural-looking eye shadow. It makes a subt;e one-shadow look or can be built up and used as shimmer pressed on the lid.

I’ve found it works best for me using my finger rather than a brush.

It is very sheer and not something I would normally buy or wear, but I am enjoying using it as a more natural look- however, it does have a fair amount of glitter fall out.

RRP: £8

RATING: 3/5

  • Bali Balm, Lip Balm

Toasted cinnamon and orange-scented lip balm for plumper, intensely moisturised lips.

The smell of this lip balm is amazing! It’s a very autumnal smell that reminds me of dried oranges and cinnamon sticks found in potpourri.

It’s delightfully moisturising and gives me plumper, healthier looking lips, and offers wafts of the delicious smells throughout the day.

RRP: £20

RATING: 5/5

  • Jorgobe, Scrub Mask

An exfoliating face wash and deep cleansing mask in one, this scrub helps treat oily and blemished skin.

This scrub mask has a very strong, natural scent when first applied (not bad just strong) however, it does disapate as it dries.

It is a very light mask that doesn’t tighten the skin as it dries but left my skin feeling refreshed and clear.

The black jojoba beads are a nice, gentle exfoliant and very cooling on the skin.

RRP: £26

RATING: 4/5

TOTAL COST OF CONTENTS: £78.99

Overall, I was very impressed with this box and the products I recieved for only £20.

I love skincare, and I really enjoyed using the cleanser and scrub mask and I can already tell my skin looks so much better for it!

The lip balm though, was my favourite item; it’s just smells so good, and now it’s getting colder outside it’s perfect for keeping my lips looking plump and healthy.
