Emma Stone Inspired Makeup

Ah, the Met Gala.

A place of celebrities, over the top fashion and inspiration.

Emma Stone was a stand out for me. She looked stunning!

When I saw her outfit, hair and makeup I knew I wanted to try it.

Stone’s makeup artist, Rachel Goodwin, said this about the look: “I applied the Phyto-Eye Twist in Lagoon on the waterline only and SoVolume Mascara in Deep Blue on only her lower lashes… And then on the top of the eye, I did a full rhinestone liner that comes out an elongates the eye, so it’s very high-glamour. I really love working with embellishments.”

For my look, I didn’t have any rhinestones (sad times) but to make the look more wearable for every day, I used a shimmery highlighter on the top lid and matched the blue liner on the bottom.

I never considered combining red lipstick and blue eyeliner but I’m kind of in love with it now.

And using a shimmery shade on the top lid made my eyes look bigger and more emphasised.

I tried to do Emma’s hair, but I don’t think I suit having one side pulled back in the way she had. However, the wet-look waves I really liked!

Overall, I really enjoyed recreating a makeup look and experimenting with different colours and styles.

Next time, I definatley want rhinestone liner!
