Experimenting with Colour

Recently I’ve been watching more beauty channels on YouTube, and most of those people use a lot of colour in their eyeshadow makeup.

This made me want to try and experiment with more colour in my life!

So, for this week’s makeup look, I dug out my Nyx Ultimate Shadow palette in Brights- that I only used once at Halloween- and wanted to use it for my everyday look.

To begin with, I primed my eye in the usual way with the Nyx shadow base in white but didn’t set it.

Then I took some Almond Truffle and Cashew Chew on a fluffy brush as a transition shade through my crease.

(They’re the ones I’ve hit pan on cause I use them in every look)

In the Nyx colour palette, I used the pink shade (top row, second one from the left) and the yellow shade (bottom right) on an wet angled brush.

Since coloured eyeliner is back, I thought that would be a good start for using more colour.

I used the pink on the top and yellow on the bottom, and then lots of mascara.

I finished the look with my usual sleek contour, some Too Faced blush and some So Juicy plumping gloss from Colourpop in ‘For the Clout’

I definitely want to try getting more confident and comfortable using colour on my eyes, and I loved this really simple coloured eyeliner look that I was able to create.

I’ve only had Chocolate Bon Bon’s for not even a year and I’ve almost panned Cashew Chew and Almond Truffle . Also nice eye look . The bright colors really suit your eyes .
