My current makeup routine is fairly simple, with the most emphasis being on the eye while everything else is quite muted and subtle.
For primer, I am currently using and enjoying the Body Shop Vitimin C Skin Reviver Instant Smoother.
Although it isn’t marketed as a primer, I find it really does smooth my skin and make my concealer and foundation glide on.
As the weather starts to get warmer, I find I don’t always want to wear foundation and prefer just using concealer and a bit of powder.
Right now I am using the Sleek Lifeproof concealer and buffing it in with the Real Techniques buffing brush; then adding the Rimmel Stay Matte powder with a big, fluffy brush.
This gives me enough coverage to hide my redness but allows my natural freckles to show through too.
For blush and contour, I use the Sleek contour trio in Light. The blush and highlighter aren’t very pigmented but the contour is the perfect shade for my skin.
On my eyes, I use the Nyx eyeshadow base in white and set it with some more Stay Matte powder. This really helps my eyeshadow stay all day, but without the powder, it’s a little too sticky.
I’ve been loving the Colorpop x Zoella Brunch Date palette every day since I got it. I feel like the shades are so complimentary, and the shimmery coral/ peach shade (Sunny Side Up) is just delicious !
I use the Real Techniques and Body Shop eyeshadow brushes to apply it; usually using Maple Syrup and Mimosa in the crease and Sunny Side Up on the lid.
My current favourite eyeliner and brow pencil are the ELF intense black eyeliner, and the Soap and Glory Archery 3-in-1 Brow Crayon.
Both these products last all day, go on easy, and, being a redhead, the blonde brow crayon is a great colour for me.
For mascara I am currently using the Barry M Lash Vegas 2, however, I find it to be very wet going on and it takes a while to dry, so I always end up with it over my lid and on my under eye.
When I’ve used it up, I will probably go back to using the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast mascara.
On my lips, I like to keep it simple since in the warmer weather my lips tend to dry out.
Therefore, I’ve been using the Dr PawPaw Tinted Peach Pink Balm for a hint of colour on my lips while also keeping them moisturised.
